Saint and Greavsie was a television show in which former footballers Ian St John and Jimmy Greaves discussed current football themes such as the day's matches. It ran on ITV from 5 October 1985 to 27 June 1992. Their collaboration as television football pundits started with On the Ball in World of Sport. Usually St John would host from the London studio and would cross over to Greaves, who was elsewhere, to get his views, but they were eventually based in the same studio. The segment was highly popular, leading to the commissioning of Saint and Greavsie as a programme in its own right immediately after the demise of World of Sport in September 1985. Bid-up TV began broadcasting on 5 October 2000. A shopping channel where you bid for items in order to win them. The channel expanded to debut Price-drop TV and Speed Auction TV. The channels had all disappeared by 17 April 2014.

On 5 October 2010, UTV began broadcasting in High Definition.

The Celts: Blood, Iron and Sacrifice was a 3 part historical documentary series shown on BBC Two on 5, 12 & 19 October 2015. Presented by Alice Roberts and Neil Oliver. Anthropologist Roberts, and archaeologist Oliver, embark on an expedition to unravel the enigmatic ancient Celtic civilization; tracing their footsteps across various regions.

Love Soup is a television romantic comedy drama screened on BBC One from 27 September 2005 to 17 May 2008. 2 series totalling 18 episodes were made. Alice Chenery and Gil Raymond are perfect for each other. They like the same things, respect the same things, and share the same beliefs. The only problem is that they are completely unaware of each other's existence. Alice is a modern woman with old-fashioned values, who lives in Brighton, and commutes to London. She is trying to sell her flat and move, without success. Her love life is no success either. She can never find the perfect man. What is worse, her colleagues, Cleo and Milly, always seem to have more success with men, though their relationships never really last more than a week. Cleo and Milly try to pair her up with several men, but to no avail. The cast includes Tamsin Greig, Sheridan Smith, Montserrat Lombard, Owen Brenman, Michael Landes, Trudie Styler, Mark Heap and Amelia Curtis.

Big Kids is a 13 episode children's comedy television series shown on CBBC on BBC One from 27 September to 20 December 2000. The show follows the lives of the Spiller family: Simon, Kate, and their parents, Sarah and Geoff. When the family attends a school charity event, a hypnotist and entertainer named Ming the Mind Master uses Sarah and Geoff in a performance. After the show is over, Kate and Simon realize that their parents have never been properly unhypnotized. At seemingly random moments, they black out and begin to act like children. The two siblings have to deal with keeping their parents under control in their hypnotized state, trying to get their parents to believe what happens when they black out, and trying to discover what triggers the change. The cast includes Duncan Duff, Imogen Stubbs, Matt Adams, Kelly Salmon, Sam Green, Jasper Britton, Amanda Fairbank-Hynes and Barnaby Francis. A BBC and Nickelodeon US co-production for CBBC UK and Noggin US.

Rab C. Nesbitt is a Scottish comedy television series that first aired as a one-off special in December 1988. It was a success. The series was then broadcast on BBC 2 between 27 September 1990 and 18 June 1999. 51 episodes over 8 series were made plus a live special broadcast in 1992. The series focuses on the title character, Robert "Rab" C Nesbitt, an alcoholic Glaswegian who seeks unemployment as a lifestyle choice. Rab was originally in the BBC 2 sketch series Naked Video. The cast includes Gregor Fisher, Elaine C Smith, Andrew Fairlie, Iain Robertson, Eric Cullen, David McKay, Tony Roper, Barbara Rafferty, Brian Pettifer, Alex Norton, Iain McColl, Charlie Sim, John Kazek, Cora Bissett, Sean Scanlan, Sara Corper, Sarah Crowden, Juliet Cadzow, Nicola Park, Rachael Crossan and Anna Devitt. A one–off special was shown in 2008, then was re-commissioned in 2010 for a further 2 series totalling 13 episodes and a New Year Special on 2 January 2014. A BBC Scotland production.
