I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

ICE *already* can't meet their detainment numbers without rounding up children, veterans, people born in the U.S., people with no criminal records, people at immigration hearings, plus academics and visitors with valid visas.

So who do they plan to detain with >10x the budget?

The answer is: you.

She was arrested by masked men, denied due process, and also denied the asthma medications she needs. She has had 15 asthma attacks in her life and four of them have been during her detention.

This is illegal and a betrayal of every American ideal. Release her and lock up her captors instead!

The humanities don't matter, no one cares about history, they say, as they cut funding and lines, and yet they are so determined to regulate what we teach and what we say so obviously it all matters. It's the worst of both worlds-- we matter enough to censor, but not enough to fund.

Over 1,400 grants have been terminated and the majority of staff have been placed on leave. We remain in shock at the scale and subterfuge.
