I sat in the pew with my husband. My son sang in the choir. The hymns were great. When we went to the parish hall to pick up our annual giving materials, they were filed under my name even through hubs name was first, b/c he will always be Mr Penny at church. 😇 (we have different surnames)

I finished up my work as interim rector of St James’s RVA today and also my career as a parish priest. I mostly didn’t cry. It was a beautiful day. I am thankful that God was crazy enough to call me to this work and grateful for all of it. And now I am thankful that God is calling me again. 1/2
