Paul Graham on how writing reveals what thinking conceals:
11.01.2025 08:08 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 02/2 For your own projects, it's advantageous to be a generalist . Though , for client projects, I think being a specialist is more valuable.
This is so relevant when AI can make anyone a generalist at in house work, but this doesn't hold true when you're working on your own projects.
1/2 Thoughts on switching between generalist and specialist mode:
When working on a client's project as a product design partner, I become a specialist. When working on my own projects like designoriginals.club, I become a generalist . I like this idea of switching between the two.
Such a nice movie with powerful message. Watched it last night, loved it.

20.12.2024 06:46 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0We should be very cautious with how we use these technologies, especially the AI chatbots.
20.12.2024 06:44 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 03/3 You think for a while, you sleep on an idea, then you walk around, think while walking, then you write, then you rewrite, edit, and then... And just replacing this with a chatbot which gives you a vomit of words that seems, you know, so perfect but they're not. It is, I think, a big mistake.
20.12.2024 06:44 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 02/3 I mean, these AI tools are great for a lot of purposes, but being too dependent on them for even basic stuff and not using your brain, your own mind for thinking—you know, the creative process—is an important exercise for one's mind.

Non-fiction books are Overrated. Most of them cab a be simple blog. Fiction is where it's at, better in every way. If I could turn back time, I'd ditch the self-help and dive into more novels.

It is something that will build a lot of muscles for you in terms of marketing and growth
1/2 I think everyone should do content creation even with their FT jobs. You don't have to leave a full-time job for that because I think content creation teaches you about - writing, marketing your ideas, and how to get attention, and maybe also sales.
