convo i think that they had in particular while lyse was fretting and thinking a lot about what SHE wanted to be called… in my mind “lyse” started as a nickname for a more masculine birth name picked by parents so she was grappling with how much she wanted to keep as a legacy vs find who she is

i think lyse asked vixen’ya once when young if she felt self conscious about having such an atypical one, especially because the “ya” suffix sounds like a moonkeeper boy name, and vix giggled about how it’s not a boy’s name, though, it’s hers!!! and that stuck with lyse in a positive way :’)

it’s so easy to succumb to wallowing waiting and it’s understandable to be deeply frustrated with things outside ur control (me with housing instability this year on top of political concerns as a US neighbour with many American friends) but you gotta keep your head up & eyes on what you CAN do

genuinely good advice across the board idc if it sounds cheesy it’s about reinforcing a mindset shift towards “things CAN get better. they WILL get better. i am actively doing my part to try and make them better and i am not alone in that”. writing it out is the first step in an actionable plan

I typically try to stay disconnected from the news for big chunks of the day bc otherwise I spiral easily and have been fully clocked out from it while processing Vivi’s sudden passing because I can only handle so much at once but of course when I check in again briefly the update is Quite Bad huh 😭
