Pittsburgh Offers Housing When Closing Encampments. Will That Last? - Bolts Advocates pushed the city to prioritize longer-term housing during sweeps, but the policy's future is uncertain in the face of continued encampments and a mayoral primary on May 20.

Pittsburgh—unlike many other US cities—provides homeless people "credible offers" for long-term housing before sweeping encampments, rather than kicking people out & placing them in emergency shelters, which are often dangerous & inadequate. It's an interesting program other cities might consider:
