AudioMoth is an acoustic recording device that captures sounds from the surrounding environment and applies recognition models to detect and identify. Xrobb l-Għađin Nature Park was selected for the use of this technology due to the high abundance of Acrididae species recorded within the area.

BirdNET has been a huge leap forward in #bioacoustics. Analysis from the WABAD collaboration, shows high precision (proportion of predictions that are correct) though modest recall (proportion of calls detected). Predictive power is highest in Europe, N. America and Oceania.
