Upgrading vSphere Supervisor to latest 9.0.2 which is actually bundled with vCenter Server 9.0.2, simply head over to Supervisor Management and apply the update to get the latest capabilities

🥳 Successfully upgraded my lab environment from VCF 9.0.1 to 9.0.2!

ESX hosts going to 9.0.2 is now in progress 😎

vCenter Server is done! Now onto ESX hosts ... for lab hardware (not on HCL), you may see HW incompatibility during pre-check ... this is expected since its NOT on HCL, but no worries, you can proceed with update by simply clicking on schedule update button! :D

Ran into an issue with NSX Edge, see williamlam.com/2026/01/quic... for fix and was able to finally finish NSX, onto vCenter Server!

JFYI - If you're looking to deploy VCF 9.0.1 and hitting NSX 9.0.2 pre-check failure, please use the latest VCF Installer 9.0.2

VCF Automation was up next, downloaded the patch, ran the pre-check and was able upgrade without any issues! 😅

Navigated back to VCF Management Settings to Extend storage by 100GB, then re-ran the pre-check for upgrading VCF Operations and it was now successful and I was able to upgrade Ops to 9.0.2 🥳

It was actually VCF Operations Fleet Manager, the UI message wasn't very clear on where the filesystem check was being performed!

ofc with my luck, I ran into an issue while perform Ops pre-check upgrade ... took few minutes to debug and turns out the issue was NOT Ops

Next up is updating VCF Operations. You can now head back to Binary Management to see the remainder 9.0.2 upgrade binaries, download those and then proceed to update Ops

Time to upgrade my #VCF9 environment to latest 9.0.2 release!

I've got 9.0.1 deployed, start by updating VCF Operations Fleet Manager component. Download the bits, head to System Patches & New Patch to select 9.0.2 and update. It'll take a few minutes, UI will go away/come back
