Basically everything worth a hill of beans uses HTTPS; that encrypts from your browser, all the way to the server side. Nothing in between (including, interestingly, your OS and its networking stack) can see the contents barring some MITM corporate nonsense.

I just use many different OS'es and they all have their quirks and their uses.
Life's too short to focus on the bad parts all the time. Especially if it's been there for a while.

It's difficult to argue with the "I did my own research folks". I sometimes try, but they insist to be experts and refuse to listen to professionals while demanding that you explain to them why they are wrong. 🙄

Personally I did not want to unfollow anyone, so instead of that I opted out and found the exit.

Seems to be pretty good now.

Will probably use @bluesky mostly for my professional engagement and mastodon for my hobbies.
