Not so much blue sky today, but I do believe I spotted some Asperitas this morning over North Swindon ๐. I remember when these cloud types were first proposed by the @cloudappsoc.bsky.social and then officially recognised in 2017. Such a beautiful sight ๐

PERFECT for skateboarding! ๐

This pilot survey is for people who enjoy watching birds, whether experienced birders or new to nature! Itโs flexible too so you can take part anywhere in the UK. ๐
Good luck with your thesis, it's a really important area to investigate. I have filled in your survey, hope it helps. I'm an MA Preventive Conservation alum from 2015, it was a great programme that started me on my journey into Conservation ๐

Really enjoyed 'The Great North Road' by Steve Silk. I felt transported, enjoyed learning about the towns along the route and almost felt like I was riding along, but without any effort. Great work @stevesilk66.bsky.social - I'm looking forward to the next tour ๐
14.02.2025 20:23 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1I can't see any way around it unfortunately. My husband has generously offered to pay the difference each month - I have a bit of a cycling addiction so I might be a bit unbearable if I had to stop watching it entirely!

I worked as a Web Developer for 12 years and I now work in conservation and restoration of historic objects. It was a lengthy process involving two Masters degrees, many volunteering hours, persistence, hard work and support from family + friends. Self belief, compassion & patience are crucial too ๐

Another conservation project is successfully completed and this parrot is winging its way home. It was a complex but fun challenge to piece together the sherds of polyresin and discretely hide the scars. A very satisfying end result ๐ ๐ ๐ฆ

Something vaguely blue from the archive where I work. These blue and green patterns are a result of glass disease on a glass plate negative circa 1930. If left untreated the emulsion can peel away from the glass. This one was stabilised and is back in the archive now.

Six years ago I first saw this architectural plan while working on a short project at Historic England and noted that it needed conservation. Happily, I'm now back and working in the conservation team, and today finished conserving the very same plan ๐๐
