A mech minature for the tabletop game Battletech, it‘s called Rifleman.
Another miniature for Battletech, - a Thunderbolt.
As I‘ve rediscovered one of my favourite teenage hobbies - Battletech - I did some airbrushing on two 3D-printed Mechs tonight.

Sometimes I see #modeltrain weathering so good that if it wasn't for the fingers i'd think it was real. I don't think I ever get bored by how good so many modelers are at making tiny thing look big.

Today’s idea is to re-ignite my somewhat lost modelling mojo by assembling some H0 model car kits of a German DKW 3=6 van. Not sure yet what to do with the finished models yet, but we’ll see. 😊

The Atlas FM H16-44 recently gave me lots of headaches. Seems the decoder board is defective. I’m unable to acquire spares over here in Germany and shipping costs from the US are a nightmare…
06.01.2025 18:59 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0DCC-fitting the model did nearly break me: Motor, axles and cables all came apart while I opened the thing. Took me ages to reassemble the thing after chipping had been done. I ended up supergluing the motor to the chassis to keep motor and axles in place.
