On 12/8, a court in The Hague ordered Ecuador to pay US$220 million to oil company Chevron-Texaco.

‘We ask the government not to interfere in all this, because Chevron owes us $9.5 billion and we are going to seize those assets,’ said UDAPT (@udapt.bsky.social) executive coordinator Donald Moncayo.

Friends of the Earth International (FOEI) has been holding its Biennial General Assembly in Dhaka, Bangladesh, since Saturday.

Around 80 people from 45 countries and member groups, and from all FOEI structures, will be setting the federation's course for the next two years until 11 December.

The #COP30 climate talks in Belém do Pará is a playground for lobbyists. At least 1,600 corporate representatives are promoting their #FalseSolutions.

We must stop corporate power NOW and implement real solutions, the solutions that emerged from the #People'sSummit and cool the planet.

The #PeoplesSummit brought together over 25k people across movements and 70k at the global march for #ClimateJustice in Belém
