Anyone else have trouble knowing if they like their work until it's complete? I feel like I can only shift focus to the quality of the full production, when all the fine details are complete first. Then I can look at the work as a whole and judge it.

I'd say both shows are good gateways into the mecha genre. I went from being kinda "meh" to mecha to actively seeking more of it out. You're right though! There's a TON of great mecha anime out there, and it all deserves a watch just as much! 💜
