Map clustering! :D

I accidentally built some kind of geography roulette (all i did was change the coordinate system, no logic to move the camera at all)

Thought Path, my app for taking quick notes to yourself, is now updated for iOS 26 and liquid glass!

I appreciate this attempt to make me feel better about not having my updates ready π
16.09.2025 15:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Paywall view in my app Thought Path. There are large select options for yearly and then monthly subscriptions; monthly is selected. Below are buttons to pay or restore subscription. There is ample room between the monthly option and the buttons. SwiftUl blurs the bottom of the monthly option, as though it were scrolling underneath content.
Some extremely necessary blurring from #iOS26 on my paywall...
(This is Apple's SubscriptionStoreView, I haven't I haven't specified any views in this screenshot, just the data.)
Just submitted an issue to the #swiftlang repo. Am I a real programmer now?

Timescape has been out for a week, and it's time for version 1.1!
- Non-all-day events have a new style, which is larger and easier to see
- Settings now contains an option to override the system color scheme

Indie App Spotlight: βTimescapeβ is a big-picture calendar for year-round planning
12.07.2025 20:20 β π 9 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Timescape has been featured on 9to5Mac's indie app spotlight! I'm really happy that the idea is resonating with so many people: 9to5mac.com/2025/07/12/i...
13.07.2025 12:26 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The main Timescape view. Most of the screen is a large grid showing every single day of the year. Events on those days are represented by coloured dots and capsules. At the bottom is a UI showing which day is selected and what events are on it.
Timescape's calendar selection view. Checkboxes for all your calendars in a list: the copy highlights that Timescape is for viewing the big picture, and to clear out clutter.
Timescape's event view, with an event selected showing a trip to Riga, Latvia. The copy highlights that Timescape is great for planning travel.
Timescape is a big picture calendar for big picture thinking.
It shows your entire year: 52 weeks in a grid, no gaps.
It's great for thinking seriously about your time; I use it multiple times a day. Go check it out! π

Just submitted a talk for #SwiftLeeds this year πππ
I haven't done any public speaking since I was in school, and I thought I would never have to again. I was right, I don't have to - but turns out I want to anyway.
A testament to the community all the folks at SwiftLeeds have built!
The native SwiftUI sidebar for Thought Path
My new, custom sidebar view. Itβs basically the same, but the padding is better (at least to me!)
Things you shouldn't do: rebuild the #SwiftUI sidebar view from scratch so that you can use your own slightly different label style.
(Look at at the trailing padding on the selected label! Totally worth it.)

I don't have any method really - switching up the format and the color scheme seem like good things to do?

Thought Path v1.5 just came out! This is a single-feature update adding an export function.
You can now share a CSV from the app containing all your thoughts, their location data, tags, and whether they've been checked off/archived or not.

The app's map view: your thoughts get location tagged and show up in that place on the map. When you zoom out, they get grouped together, which is shown: there are groups over Manchester, London and Paris.
Hey π A short #introduction: I'm Matt, I make iOS apps and like to post about my progress. Give me an experimental follow if that's your jam :)
My latest app is the place where you write down your ideas. There's a map view! I like map views π apps.apple.com/us/app/thoug...
