🎬 Big win for local film + TV crews!

Today, the Council approved my motion to revitalize local film production by streamlining the City’s permitting process, cutting through the red tape, and making it easier, faster, and more affordable to film in Los Angeles. Thank you to everyone involved!

In today’s world, it’s more crucial than ever to remember the devastating consequences of hatred and intolerance. As we reflect on the Armenian Genocide and other atrocities throughout history, let us honor the victims by learning from the past—and by standing against injustice wherever it arises.

The descendents of the survivors make up the widespread and diverse Armenian diaspora, overcoming this trauma to make major contributions to art, science, politics, and more.

Often recognized as the first modern genocide, these events had devastating effects on the fabric of Armenian society and culture, decimating the population and ending more than three thousand years of Armenian civilization in eastern Anatolia.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at our District Office Open House! It was an incredible day of community, connection, and conversation. Here’s a quick look back at some of the highlights!

Creating a greener, more vibrant community is always a work in progress, but I’m proud of how far we’ve come! Over the years, we’ve transformed public spaces across CD2—including Rhodes Park, where we planted new trees this weekend. Here’s to a more beautiful and sustainable future! 🌳💚

Thank you to everyone involved, including the Sun Valley Area Neighborhood Council, CIFD, Paul Krekorian, and LA Rec and Parks. Because of the efforts of our community and departments, Sun Valley residents now have a fantastic new space to stay active, challenge themselves, and have fun!

DeGarmo Park just leveled up with the new X-treme Ninja Course! Time to channel your inner ninja and conquer those obstacles.

I look forward to all the exciting opportunities that will come with our partnership.

The DeGarmo Park X-treme Ninja Course is now open!

Rooted in community! 🌳✨ I joined our amazing volunteers, LA Beautification Team, and LA Rec and Parks to plant 45 new trees at Rhodes Park! 🌱 This effort brings more shade and beauty to our neighborhood. Thank you to everyone involved!

This morning, I rolled up my sleeves and got my hands dirty with the Toluca Lake Chamber of Commerce to clean up our streets and underpasses! Keeping our community clean and safe takes teamwork, and I’m grateful to stand alongside dedicated volunteers who care about maintaining our neighborhoods!

It was an honor to join the Islamic Center of North Hollywood for their Iftar Dinner, hosted every evening during the month of Ramadan. It was a wonderful evening of community, reflection and shared traditions, highlighting the spirit of unity and generosity that defines this sacred month.
