This anniversary is a celebration of a landmark event & the vital work to promote equal opportunity for people with disabilities.

CA Planned Parenthood health centers serve 1/3 of all Planned Parenthood patients nationwide – nearly 1 million patients per year. More than 80% of Planned Parenthood patients in CA rely on Medi-Cal programs to access their health care – compared to 55% of Planned Parenthood patients nationally.

Community is crucial! District Staff from my office + Assemblymembers Caloza & Harabedian + Supervisor Barger visited Perry's Joint in Altadena to share a meal together. Over the last few months, we worked on legislation & casework to assist those impacted by the wildfires.We are stronger together!

28 people + 56 bags of trash + many bulky items = productive morning! That's the equation of a successful North Hollywood clean-up! I am grateful for the opportunity to volunteer with local constituents as we chatted about important state matters while cleaning up the streets. Thank you!

CA already has some of the toughest laws in the nation to protect kids & combat human trafficking. AB 379 builds on those protections AND provides new tools for prosecutors & stronger penalties for those who look the other way on trafficking. It’s passed the Legislature and now heads to @CAgovernor.

Last week, we adjourned Session in the memory of a lifelong public servant, Donald “Don” Robert Brown of Burbank. Don was a remarkable asset to the Burbank community and beyond. We extend our profound gratitude to Don for his service & our sincere condolences to his family and loved ones.

What is happening in Glendale and across our region is reprehensible. Hospitals are a place for healing & community wellness. History will record what each of us said & did. I pray that all hospitals will join us to ensure that their facilities remain safe spaces for all.

Regrettably, our office has confirmed reports that ICE has conducted operations in Burbank (Home Depot) & in Glendale (Classic Car Wash) recently. It is essential that we document what is happening in our communities. Everyone in our community has rights. Know them so that you can use them!

Juneteenth marks a major significance in history & proves that freedom & racial equality have always been a hard-fought battle for Black Americans — a battle that continues to this day.
