Atypical cell cycle regulation over neural stem cell expansion - PubMed Populations of adult neural stem cells (NSCs) that reside in the mammalian brain aid in neurogenesis throughout life and can be identified by a type VI intermediate filament protein, Nestin. Cell cycle regulation plays an important role in maintaining a balance between self-renewal and differentiati …

Today we remembered the 5 students from UWin who were victims of PS752. 2 missiles, 30 seconds apart - ruled a β€œmoment of forgetfulness” that ended the lives of 176 people. Rest in peace Samira & Hamid - we will not push you aside & forget. They mattered. #PS752

The Act is outdated and should be modernized - but the definitions that take decision making out of scientists hands is worrisome. Ensuring that work with dogs and cats also benefits veterinary medicine is (to me) a reasonable addition - but the devil is in the details.

Animal researchers, patients, advocates for health research please note the proposed changes to the Ontario Animals for Research Act and consider providing input to OMAFA www.regulatoryregistry.gov.on.ca/proposal/52653

Process is important here & has implications Canada wide. (1of2)

Grateful for our region to be involved in this amazing program πŸ™ Most of Canadians are treated outside our biggest centres. Building capacity and linkages to community hospitals ensures access to best care - and that the answers that we get from these big national projects represent our population

Your post reminded me of this poem - I thought I’d share Frank.
It’s By Henry Van Dyke

Time is too slow for those who wait,
Too swift for those who fear,
Too long for those who grieve,
Too short for those who rejoice,
But for those who love, time is
Eternity.
