Those are very good maps! Thanks for sharing. Anyways, Kobold Hall and then Keep on the Shadowfell are well known ruins in the Vale. People don't know what is inside, but they know those ruins.

Kinda late to the party, but the default 3e/3.5 setting was called the Lands of Mystery. They were mapped in the Dungeon mags of the time, and surprisingly they share a lot of locations with 4e's implied setting (Nentir Vale/PoL world). This map is from the last Paizo Dungeon mag, for instance

You have a good point. Combine that with someone's idea of returning everything to 2e status (see the entry on Chessenta), and everything makes sense.

They didn't do it in the SCAG because they wanted to respect the novel authors who had worked in the Realms during the og run of the novel line (I remember there was a GenCon panel about it). I think that without the old novel line, there was no reason to keep it. But I'd love to read your theory.

Tymanther was definitely one of the most interesting additions to the Forgotten Realms of 4e. It's sad they decided wipe it out to please the old fans that disliked 4e (and that won't buy these new books anyways)

También aproveché para verme la película del Xuanzang histórico. Es muy buena, y la recomiendo. Igual, se toman un par de libertades narrativas, así que le doy un 9/10, porque siento que en estas pelis históricas sí deberían ser más exactos.

Hace unos días terminé la serie de Viaje al Oeste. El CGI envejeció mal, pero compensa con el uso de efectos prácticos y un excelente trabajo de vestuario y maquillaje. Si bien la serie se toma algunas libertades narrativas, por lo general es bastante fiel a la esencia original. Recomendada
