An adjudicator's ruling merely confirms what was already obvious. The UCP gov't broke its own laws and went to great lengths to avoid disclosing politically unfavourable public records. Taxpayers paid for these records; they do not belong to a party. #ableg

BRONZE FOR CANADA π¨π¦
Valerie Maltais, in her 5th Olympics, wins bronze for Canada in the 3000m final.
Itβs her first individual medal in long track speed skating. And itβs Canadaβs first medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics.
The Bearspaw South feeder main replacement Stage B path is set. Work will begin in May. Find out where it will go, and the method they'll use. #yyc #calgary

Despite the UCPs strong polling lead, six in 10 Albertans think the province is heading in the wrong direction.
04.02.2026 20:17 β π 18 π 9 π¬ 4 π 2Never again.
Today we commemorate the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp and remember the tragedy that was perpetrated against the victims of the Nazi regime on International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
Itβs always interesting reading how events are reported after the fact. Take the separation event at the Big4: hundreds sounds like a lot, but from my vantage point over Stampede park there was barely more traffic than an average night where events arenβt happening.
27.01.2026 15:40 β π 18 π 6 π¬ 3 π 0Libraries are some of the most important civic institutions we have to improve our communities. They are also a huge supporter of local journalism and provide free access for the public to that essential work. This is one of the big reasons Iβm personally a big supporter of the libraries in Calgary.

The repairs on the Bearspaw Feeder Main are complete, and water is once again flowing through the main to Calgarians. Thank you for making the effort to save water during the emergency, and thank you to all the dedicated City staff who made this repair possibleβquickly and safely. As of 1β―p.m. today, all water restrictions are lifted. Operations at our aquatic centres and arenas will return to normal. By the end of the day, the City expects to deactivate the Municipal Emergency Plan and close the Emergency Operations Centre. Work will continue to repair a section of the Bearspaw Feeder Main, and more work will be done in the spring to reinforce the pipe.

The level of the Glenmore Reservoir is now at 87.5% (20566.59 cubic decametres).
13.01.2026 02:34 β π 7 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0So the answer is likely not. Given the large surface area when the reservoir is filled the visible drop in water level would be about a quarter of a metre. This is also something the province puts data out about and I will be building a chart on.
10.01.2026 18:28 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In order for Calgary's water supply to be sustainable until the Bearspaw feeder main comes back online, total daily Megalitre usage needs to be below 485 ML.
Right now the Glenmore Reservoir volume is dropping daily because consumption outstrips the very small inflow.
At the current time, yes.
09.01.2026 02:28 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Correct. Until the spring melt this is all we have in the eventuality of another break on the Bearspaw feeder main.
09.01.2026 02:22 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Currently the reservoir is not being replenished in any meaningful way versus the water being taken out. It's not unfair to say the water remaining before taps go dry, should another break occur before the spring, is measured in at most weeks.
09.01.2026 02:21 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 2 π 1Water levels in percentage of the Glenmore Reservoir. The level has dropped from 94.8% to 89.9% since January 3.
Some data regarding the water levels of Calgary's only current source of water: the Glemore Reservoir has dropped by almost 5% in total capacity over the past five days, going from 94.8% to 89.9% since January 3.
09.01.2026 02:15 β π 22 π 14 π¬ 5 π 0I ask the question of how serious should council be taking the third party review of Calgary's water system, and the independent panel agrees it's a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10.
This is why we as a council can't pass the buck. We need to fix this for Calgarians.
Iβm at a loss of words over a loss today. So Iβll let the words of others from 2022 speak to how important remembering members of Calgarys transgender community is.

Yesterday on Jan. 4, Calgarians used 510 Megalitres of water which was well above the sustainable level of 485 Megalitres per day. Unless we save water now, reserves will be depleted leaving no water for firefighters to battle fires. Save water by taking showers shorter than 3 minutes and less often, flush toilets only when necessary, and only do full loads of laundry and dishes. Now, more than ever, we need every Calgarian to find ways of saving water so that this water main break doesnβt become a water availability crisis.
Yesterday, Calgarians consumed 510 Megalitres of water, exceeding the sustainable limit of 485 Megalitres per day.
To prevent depleting reserves crucial for firefighting, cut shower times to under 3 minutes, flush toilets sparingly, and only run full loads of laundry and dishes.
Calgarians used 510 million litres of water on Sunday, putting consumption well into the unsustainable region. #yyc #calgary
