Re: holding up signs at BTS shows, they dedicate Army Time prior to the encore specifically for signs/flags to be shared. Mine have gotten on screen twice, and I'm convinced it was good karmic payback for not holding them up during the performance. Armys deserve to see BTS, not the back of a sign. 💜

I fully agree with you. Let people participate. It’s not gonna work on me bc I’m just happy to be able to attend (I never thought I would) and also I’m not too into material things, but A LOT of ppl will feel pressured to get one, or feel like shit bc they’re not able to

I don't like to collect physical merch objects, so I wasn't really planning on buying a lightstick in the first place, but now I'm DEFINITELY not getting one because the shameless cash grab scheme and waste of resources in terms of older perfectly functional lightsticks is just revolting to me.

Yeah, I don’t begrudge them launching a new version. What I’m mad about is them pushing people to buy it by cutting off syncing for older models. I’ve already seen ppl in one of my GCs being genuinely stressed about this bc they can’t afford it

It seems this needs to be said:

Criticizing HYBE for how they conduct their business and for the merch-related decisions they as a company make DOES NOT MEAN
- criticizing BTS
- criticizing ARMY who want to buy those products

These are completely separate things.
