I FORGOT I HAD A BSKY. THANK YOU!
10.10.2025 20:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The map at the end of the Ryne introductory adventure with the first group, in which they tamed a herd of gazelle-giraffes, met with the neighbouring amphibian community, almost were taken by a huge river wave going upstream, found pink flowers choking the landscape, persuaded a pig-bear to let them through, almost fell into a ravine, were taken up the mountain by a huge bird, and found that their Remnant was succumbing to another Remnant. Their solution to the problem consisted in using their bonds to other communities to coordinate a collaborative effort to increase the tributes to their broken god.
The map at the end of the Ryne introductory adventure with the second group, in which they calmed down some goats, almost kidnapped one, questioned bad-cop style a poor ghost-shepherd, realized the goats were panicking because of some bright pink flowers, tried to pluck one and got chased by wild animals, were attacked by a huge bird that tore a thread out of the Tethered, helped other birds that had a nest full of eggs stuck beneath broken trees and debris, tamed said birds with delicious sandwiches., were attacked by the same large bird once again, found some premium cheese that they offered their broken god, got a stone goat in return that grew tremendously, established a vibrant cheese development with surrounding communities through messenger birds, and increased their town's production means to keep up with their Remnant's increased hunger.
This last month or so I had the opportunity to run an introductory adventure of @furtiveshambles.bsky.social's Ryne for two different groups. It really speaks of the game's improvisational strengths that both games were so different from each other, but equally memorable.

Screenshot of a single question and answer from interview in the Times Literary Supplement with Ursula K. Le Guin. Here is the quote: If you could make a change to anything youβve written over the years, what would it be? In The Dispossessed, I would mention the communal pickle barrels at street corners in the big towns, restocked by whoever in the community has made or kept more pickles than they need. I knew about the free pickles all along, but never could fit them into the book.

It's because sometimes all it takes is a song, painting, banner drop or play to make you see the workers of the world deserve peace and prosperity.

Behind the woman the title "IT EATS PLANETS" is emblazoned in bright red. At the bottom the author's name "Samantha Mackenzie Greer" is written in red too. In the background is a landing pad with a large, well used helicopter with fumes falling from its exhaust pipe. Above them is a dark sky of green clouds though a parting reveals the void of space where a ringed gas giant is silhouetted against a red sun.
A blueish, gloomy derelict factory floor with an avalanche of garbage in the foreground and sides of the frame with a sliver of floor space guiding the eye under a concrete bridge and past heavily graffitied columns, to a large, towering machine and altar at the centre. A person in a poncho sits there, waiting beneath the collapsed ceiling where far above we can see towering pipes of extraction criss crossing to form a dark, steel sky.
A comic page. A vertical panel on the left side which depicts a mysterious person in a poncho coming down the steps of a trench and alleyway carved out of rock, covered in graffiti and with pipes criss crossing above. On the right are a panel of this person rustling under their poncho and a second panel show them looking up some small orange case with a relieved smile, held in the hand of a previously concealed third arm. A third panel shows them concealing this object, their attention drawn to something off panel.
IT EATS PLANETS is now publicly available to read!
A queer, sci-fi comic about heists, ancient evil and fighting to survive on a dying planet. New pages every Thursday.

i avoid commenting on celebrity passings due to the parasociality of the thing but David Lynch was an artistβs artist and a reminder to never explain yourself (when you donβt want to). one of the greatest filmmakers to ever do it.
