GM and producer and music composer for Crudely Drawn Swords, lead guitarist for The Patient Wild, Game Designer for The Hallowed Walk and Trilogy, Programmer, Horse Trainer, dork-ass-loser and now apparently novelist?
The last time I saw you, you looked so much older, your famous blue anorak was gone from your shoulders.
22.02.2026 16:21 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This post caused me to pick up the first two volumes, and they really are exquisite.
22.02.2026 15:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Morning Womble, I'm getting into David Green's "Empire Of Ruin" collection - lots of classic epic fantasy set up so far, I'm intrigued to see where it goes.
22.02.2026 11:13 β π 2 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I love this, one of my teachers talked a lot about not taking the horse out of the horse in our training and I feel like you're really living that.
22.02.2026 11:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't know what a plapp is, but I did once wake up from a dream where I was shouting "I hate plapps" and I think in that situation it was something to do with the sound of walking through a marsh.
21.02.2026 22:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That guy has so many plapps.
21.02.2026 22:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We just watched Bottoms on prime and it was incredibly stupid and very funny.
21.02.2026 22:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I just finished my first play through on Crimson Flower and it rules. The problem with the other routes is that I kind of assume Edelgard is going to be the villain and my character has just married her so clearly she can do no wrong.
21.02.2026 19:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Very late to this party and I just rolled the credits on Three Houses and it might be my favourite game? The strategy is fun and requires thought, the dating sim side of things is delightful, and the epic JRPG storytelling is very well done. Played every side mission because I didn't want it to end.

sounds pretty difficult tbf
21.02.2026 14:38 β π 16 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0This is lovely to read. I've really picked up the "less repetition" thing from the mules - the moment they get something right, or close to it, you have to change the topic or they'll start improvising. They remember everything so you can be sure they'll be better next time.
21.02.2026 11:04 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0An update about They Are Still Here - when we close, and what we're still looking for. You've got a month, pobl!

I enjoyed Tea With The Black Dragon, which was very contemporary when it came out in the mid eighties and now feels like a perfectly formed time capsule from the early days of Silicon Valley.
20.02.2026 16:25 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Since my mid-forties I have tried to mostly buy music that came out in the last couple of years, and thanks largely to the power of Bandcamp it has rewarded me well.
20.02.2026 14:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I keep hearing that the Epstein files are so big if we held everyone accountable everything would collapse. And no it wouldnβt. These rich guys donβt do any actual work. They arenβt actually important or useful they are just rich.

20.02.2026 13:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I always try and align my patreon subscriptions. I miss when they could take it all in a single payment.
20.02.2026 11:57 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I think depending on the closeness of the friend I'd probably get in touch and let them know it wasn't my cup of tea. That way I could ask if they'd rather have an honest review or not, and give them the option of feedback if they ask.
20.02.2026 11:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The funny thing is that everyone around the Gorillaz project has seen this and they all appear to have different theories about which song inspired it.
20.02.2026 10:49 β π 87 π 3 π¬ 6 π 0Honestly I think mine was mostly because of how annoying No Doubt were, but it's nice to be retroactively vindicated.
20.02.2026 09:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My thirty year irrational dislike of Gwen Stefani finally gets rationalised.

Head of police: yup, that's the guy
I guess the sound would depend on how it is produced - I wouldn't expect a slime mould to form vocal chords (although using a vent to produce air flow would rule) so perhaps it resonates like a loudspeaker, in which case it might copy voices it has heard like a low resolution sampler.
20.02.2026 08:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Pretty sure this almost happened in the kitchen of the student house I lived in 30 years ago.
20.02.2026 08:44 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I didn't realise how much of the game was dedicated to enabling my character to be a lesbian but when I found out it rapidly became an all-timer, it may even narrowly nudge Wildermyth off the top spot, time will tell.

My linework is so scratchy and horrible that at a certain point I figured I might as well lean in and use (digital) charcoal for my sketches, seeing as that looks messy at the best of times. Today's surprise realisation was that my charcoal drawings have accidentally got way better.
18.02.2026 18:07 β π 8 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0I hate that! Why is everything so bad at everything.
