Collectively, we said a huge goodbye to Anne Fox for her stewardship across the last ten years, and a very warm welcome to Dr Summer Alston-Smith in her new role as CEO.

Across the day we attended workshops focused on amplifying global majority voices, lived experience leadership, and reimagining support for girls and young women across the system.
People turned up with honesty, commitment, and a fierce desire to make change happen.
We heard important commitments from Lord Timpson, Minister of State for Prisons, Parole and Probation to get the system 'firing on all cylinders' so HMPPS staff can focus on what's important: rehabilitation and reducing re-offending.

Next, the young men will begin one-to-one coaching where they can start planning for a future that excites them.
Whilst it is clear that the prison has areas for improvement, especially increasing purposeful activity, we were pleased to see our programme, Black Hero's Journey, highlighted as notable positive practice in the HMP Wormwood Scrubs HMIP report this week.
