Young people are the experts of their own online experiences. They can share insights into the challenges they face every day when online."

The safeguards meant to protect minoritised ethnic communities from historically unequal treatment in the mental health system are currently still just a recommendation.
Thatβs not enough. The Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework must be made law.

We need to understand the experiences and circumstances that sit at the root of people's distress - not label them as 'disordered' for how they respond to that distress.
The diagnosis of personality disorder does not help us understand what has happened to people.

The diagnosis of personality disorder carries stigma, and suggests that there is something 'wrong' with someone's personality. It doesn't tell someone's story, or explain the root of their distress.
We're collecting together people's stories so that they can be heard: buff.ly/TVrcpC2
When our societyβs safety nets get cut, those who are already struggling get hit the hardest. Despite recent softening of proposed welfare cuts, the Welfare Reform Bill still has the potential to cause harm.
These cuts wonβt help our collective health, or our nationβs finances.
The majority of people given the diagnosis of 'personality disorder' have experienced trauma. But the diagnosis can stop these stories being heard. Instead, it suggests there is something 'disordered' about someone responding to their own distress.

The next Welsh Gov. must deliver on the promising plans laid out in both the Mental health & wellbeing and Suicide & Self Harm strategies. Every person living in Wales will benefit from this happening.
We make the calls below alongside our Wales Alliance for Mental Health colleagues.
Weβre pleased to be working with Swansea Bay University Health Board, offering counselling as part of their bereavement project.
Our joined-up work across Swansea, including schools, helps us reach more people with timely, compassionate support.

We stand with the LGBTQ+ community, and we believe that doing so is fundamental to the mission of any charity that aims to uphold mental health and social justice.
If connection is what underpins our mental health, then love in all its forms is perhaps the strongest connection there is.
Congratulations to all inspiring nominees and winnersβ€οΈIt was our privilege to be part of Welsh Refugee Council Nation of Sanctuary Awards earlier this week.
We build connections and work with others, so that Wales is a welcoming community for those who find themselves without safety or shelter.

There's great momentum in Wales towards a better future for mental health. Could you lead our policy and campaigns work as we play our part in making sure that future happens?
You can read more about our thoughts on the Welsh Governmentβs Housing Bill here:
17.06.2025 07:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Within our own housing and homelessness services, we have seen the importance of a safe home for good mental health. Any progress in Wales and the wider UK that makes that safe home a reality for more people can be seen as an extension of delivering on Welsh Governmentβs strategy for mental health.
17.06.2025 07:30 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We join @sheltercymru.bsky.socialβ¬ and βͺβͺ@natfednews.bsky.socialβ¬ in welcoming the emphasis on social & affordable housing in the Chancellorβs Spring Statement.
Alongside Welsh Gov's Homelessness & Social Housing bill, we're seeing progress towards more people having a safe place to call home.
Weβd like to join @cymorthcymru.bsky.social in welcoming the Homelessness & Social Housing Allocations (Wales) Bill.
The bill makes it easier for people to get help before their situation escalates, amplifies people's voices, and greater emphasises prevention.
