Trump administration might just have broken the GAFAM business model outside of the US
A comic titled "A Guide to Bird Photography." On the left are images of the photo you want, and on the right are images of the photo you'll get. In the first row, the photo you want is a well-framed shot (there's a gorgeous mourning warbler standing on a branch). In the second row, the photo you'll get: an action shot (the bird is a fleeing blur). Next, you want a bird in sharp focus (an indigo bunting perched). But you'll get exquisite leaf detail (the bird is blurry but the leaves are in perfect focus). In the third row, you want a striking portrait (a Swainson's hawk looking at the camera). But you'll get... why (a kingbird screaming as it flies in front of the hawk and blocks the shot). Finally, the photo you want is pure elegance (a great blue heron standing in a marsh). But the photo you get is a pooping heron - maybe I can fix this in post.
An oldie that I'm thinking about a lot while I try to take warbler photos at Biggest Week in Ohio.

It’s too early to tell if what’s happened in Spain & Portugal was caused by a cyber attack or some sort of physical activity.
There’s a history of jumping to the former conclusion before the latter is proved true.

This is inaccurate. There is no known vulnerability with Signal's core tech. The memo was discussing phishing attempts, which Signal has worked to mitigate. And it was hastily reported.
It's important not to spread misinfo that can confuse people into moving away from meaningfully private comms.

The Belgian federal prosecutor's office confirmed to TechCrunch that it is investigating an alleged breach of its state security service (VSSE) by China-backed hackers.
