I am a retired librarian and got 2 questions: 1. what do you do all day - stamp out books? (that's in the old days), or 2. have you read all the books in the library? Sometimes also an additional comment of 'I like reading too'

Read about the men and women whose lives and livelihoods were tied up with this little vessel built in 1906 and still around, now beached on the remote sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia. A true twentieth century story of the sea in peace and war which covers the long Atlantic Ocean.

Excavation of a late Neolithic-Early Bronze Age 'ring cairn', made of boulders set within a circular ditch. Among the stones were 27 carved with rock art, mostly cup-markings. These would certainly not have been all visible after construction. However, the monument itself continued to be visible, and visited, at least as late as the Iron Age.
