08.02.2026 21:04 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Watching early Val Kilmer movie, Top Secret, for the first time. I... guess this would have landed better back in the 80s.
08.02.2026 20:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This week's Sunday afternoon cocktail was spectacular. The "Intimate Martini".

Haha. It's literally the first time I've ever seen it.
08.02.2026 20:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Incredible theme song.
Apparently it was confirmed that Captain Scarlet and Thunderbirds are in a shared universe, so I'm just going to go ahead and assume all of them are.
It's frankly insulting that no one's ever asked me to write a game based on a Pat Mills comic tbh.
08.02.2026 19:27 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I like how the Lord of the Rings ends with everyone just fucking off and sailing away to a place where this bullshit doesnβt happen
08.02.2026 18:26 β π 1263 π 151 π¬ 21 π 9Buddy up with me. You know you want to model a 1:48 Stingray.
08.02.2026 19:22 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0But then it wouldn't be my AMAZING and OFFICIAL game, Darren ;)
08.02.2026 17:47 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm getting the urge to write a Supermarionation tabletop skirmish game. Who wants to make the minis and pitch for a licence with me?
08.02.2026 17:41 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Part of the current clear-out/ ebay sales... I'm sad to get rid of this guy because it's such a cool toy. (Sound up).
08.02.2026 16:49 β π 9 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0I can feel a smutty joke coming on...
08.02.2026 15:29 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Cheers! Yeah, I guess for some reason it didn't freeze evenly, so the cubes surrounding it formed the solid wall.
08.02.2026 14:34 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Gonna drive to the hospital now and dump the entire tray into the biohazard waste.
08.02.2026 14:19 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0At last, a sensible explanation!
08.02.2026 14:18 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I like the scientific explanation! (It is a soft silicon tray though... does that make a difference?)
08.02.2026 14:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It was on a shelf with nothing on top of it. Obviously it's frozen inside so no drips. I am at a loss. π΅ββοΈπ΅ββοΈπ΅ββοΈ
08.02.2026 13:41 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Large ice cube tray, with inexplicable ice stalagmite on one of the cubes.
Went to get the oversized ice cubes from the freezer, and... what? There's an ice pillar in the middle of one of the cubes. How? π

08.02.2026 03:57 β π 6 π 3 π¬ 0 π 0So it's Black History Month and that means I think it's a good time to get familiar with Mike Pondsmith, if you're not already.
When you see R. Talsorian Games, that's him. When you see Cyberpunk 2077, that's his world.
Mekton, Castle Falkenstein, also him.

06.02.2026 18:07 β π 6948 π 1551 π¬ 105 π 110At the risk of ridicule, I stuck with the new Robin Hood show after the dull opening episode and... it's fine actually. The writers have never even seen a history book, but most Robin Hood shows/films suffer on that front. Not great, but decent fun.
07.02.2026 00:40 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I was literally just reading the "talent is the new gatekeeping" thread, with increasing amounts of disbelief, when they deleted their account mid-scroll.
Oh well.
Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeareβs Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

Thanks Roy, really appreciated.

#bdog has just gone in for a new/stronger chemotherapy session, which is a make-or-break treatment. Good vibes appreciated.
We organised a meet-up with his best pal, Audrey, earlier, to make sure he had a good day despite everything.
I did a very similar thing with The Last Vigilant (sort of "Sharpe meets Cadfael"). In fact, there was a point early on where I considered ditching the fantasy setting and transferring it to medieval York instead.
04.02.2026 15:54 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0"Interesting" that new social media accounts have been going around for a few weeks protesting Neil Gaiman's innocence, while promoting this "smoking gun" substack. Just in time for the man himself to come back to public life.
Block this prick, btw π
