It's International Day of Women & Girls In Science, so I thought I'd share this Hygrocybe coccinea by Beatrix Potter!
She produced over 350 scientifically accurate, detailed watercolor paintings of fungi in the 1890s and early 1900s. 🫶🏼🍄

I really enjoyed this one... It was like a Hallmark movie made by Wes Craven. I enjoyed seeing someone play with the Hallmark formula like this, and while it was still a slasher flick, I think it didn't take itself too seriously. I even had some LOLs. 👍🏽

I know you have painting workshops in Maine, but do you teach anything like this, the business end of art, in Maine?

I live in a state that makes quite a lot of its yearly revenue from tourism, and Canadian tourism at that. We definitely felt a hit last year, and this winter hasn't been much better.
This alienation of our allies is so myopic, but at this point I'm no longer surprised at anything he does anymore...

I only cried twice while I was painting. I miss her so much! 😭
