Been a bit since I donated blood, so I did that today and did my first power red donation. The Nutter Butter reward I give myself after is still the best Nutter Butter ever.

I actually now have a shiny new Rand McNally atlas Just In Case. (And that's how I got around before I had a cellphone.)

Also, AAA had awesome TripTiks that I'd go pick up for any bigger trips. The guidebooks you could get had a lot of info about the area you'd be visiting, too.

Sadly, I did, which is probably why I grit my teeth a lot these days. Heh.

Any gal who has gone trail hiking probably knows that feeling of “that dude is acting creepy—am I overreacting” at some point or another.

If a dude is being creepy, listen to your gut and take as many precautions as you can while getting somewhere safer.

I'm loving my new oatmeal breakfast. Basically you prepare oatmeal with a bit less water and add pumpkin, cinnamon, brown sugar, cloves, and ginger. I'll split it into serving sizes and keep them in the fridge for a quick heat-up (minus the portion for that day, which is fresh from the pot).

Unless specifically requested by the charity, PLEASE donate cash!

Charities have wholesale contracts with vendors and can buy WAY more food than you can for the same dollar amount. They also know what they need.
