Based on this list and my completely objective opinion, #OurPalSal is the second greatest comic book artist of all time.

Graviton has the Avengers (YJ, Wonder Man, Iron Man, Wasp, Scarlet Witch, Beast, Vision, Cap) pinned up to a large slab.
Avengers 159 (1977): First full appearance Graviton.

The coloring of this cover always disturbed me because it ruins the spotlight effect.

For those about to shriek "Woke!" Let me remind you this is from
In 1984's What If...? #44 (by Peter Gillis, Sal Buscema and Dave Simons)
19. 84. Half of y'all were BABIES when this was written, don't try and pin this on 'woke politics'. This is the warning, carved in stone, for ALL. Eyes. Open.
Five panels of President Jimmy Carter talking about the energy crisis: "Many people believe the 'energy crisis' to be a hoax foisted upon us by profit-hungry oil companies. It is not. It is the most serious threat our nation -- our world -- has ever faced. It mattuhs not whether world crude oil reserves are sufficient this yeah's needs or those of the next decade. Sooner or later, oil -- and all fossil fuels -- will run out. We must recognize, once and for all, that our planet's resources are finite. We must choose, my friends, between sacrificing a little today so that our descendants will enjoy a peaceful and prosperous world, or continuing in our profligate ways, thereby forcing our grandchildren to make harsh, brutal sacrifices merely in order to survive!"
Yet another comic from an age before terrible woke people made them all POLITICAL, from the extremely politically neutral year of 1979, featuring famously apolitical President Jimmy Carter. (Marvel Team-Up #85, written by Chris Claremont, art by Sal Buscema and Steve Leialoha.)

A little late to the party both with reading the run and preordering, but finally managed to secure @jmdematteis.bsky.socialโs Spectacular Spidey omnibus, as someone who cherishes that era of comics and Kravenโs last Hunt, my only regret remains not preordering it sooner!

This is a cover scan of the copy I used to own.
Spider-Man was my first "guy" I was all about him.
This run, this run... What @jmdematteis.bsky.social does with Sal Buscema here is, to me, the DEFINITIVE Spider-Man.
Not a huge fan of omnibi but glad this is finally in print tomorrow.
Hopefully a Child Within GN follows soon!

Some of my key childhood comics I can remember reading are Spectacular Spider-Man #194 and #195 (written by J.M. DeMatties and drawn by Sal Buscema). I haven't been able to revisit them since but the image of Spider-Man buried under sewer mutants has maintained a lifelong grip on my imagination.
