The greatest achievement of Stoicism (actual Stoicism, as in the Ancient Greek philosophy of Stoicism) is that it replaced nonsensical cosmology with ontology and metaphysics.

Coincidentally, I think this is the reason it was beaten to near death and subdued for nearly 2000 years.

Stoics don't wonder this because Stoicism and [insert religion here] are fundamentally incompatible as they have conflicting conceptions of both "god" and morality.

You can add some Stoic flavour to your faith-based practice, but you can't be a Stoic and a (for example) Christian simultaneously.

Given how he's a petulant manchild that gets emotional over the comments of a teenager girl, I'd say that even small s stoicism AND broicism is above him.

Firstly, this is a "learn aloud" account I have. If anything, thank you for teaching me. Secondly, I'm sorry if my tone is off, this is my second language, I lose a lot in translation. Third(ly? Is it a thing?) parties usually are more stringent on policy than philosophies. >

by that standard ... not even being a card carrying party member would entail any particular policy per se... so what'the point you are trying to make? The vaguest truism?

As long as conmen can fool techbros into paying for a "success" mind-hack... these guys will keep selling.

It's all fine and dandy, but at some point you have the ideal of justice and some dude saying he wants to deport/murder millions. It's clear that he cannot hold that and be a stoic in any sense.
So stoicism definitely does entail some politics.
