Text on a coral background reads: "My research has provided recommendations for how hospital sites can implement the preterm birth pathway at their hospital site to ensure successful implementation.
These recommendations include improving the knowledge of risk factors and the purpose of the preterm surveillance clinic amongst clinicians. Sites should focus on training staff on preterm risk factors and pathology, while undergraduate midwifery courses should aim to integrate this into their teaching.โ There is a small photo if Naomi Carlisle.

Text on a blue background reads: Researchers identify actions needed to improve care for women at risk of early birth.
The IMPART study by ARC South London maternity researchers recommends these actions to improve care:
- better staff training on early birth and the pathway
- multidisciplinary preterm teams
- women-centered care.
There is a QR code to read more about the study, and an image of a young baby
The IMPART study has been included in an NIHR Alert, highlighting how the studyโs recommendations could improve the implementation of the care pathway for early birth risk assessment.
