A solid choice, from what I understand. If you don't already, would recommend listening to The Socialist Program with Brian Becker (podcast), the host of which (IIRC) co-founded the party and describes how it works in several episodes (namely the Lenin series from a few months ago).

From what i understand, they only moved to a more SocDem stance after a bunch of Bernie supporters joined the party in 2016. They were founded as, and still fundamentally are, a Marxist-Leninist party.
