I've read MMT. We still need taxes, but as a tool AFTER we've paid for what we require.

Politicians love to claim the rich will leave if their tax 'burden' is raised. They won't.

In the same way, huge companies like Amazon or Starbucks won't leave if tax is raised from the extremely low corporate rates they currently enjoy. They'd stay and trade because they'd still make money.

If government wants to get immigration numbers down, leave refugees alone and ship all the greedy tax-evaders to their beloved off-shore havens.

That way we'll boost the gene-pool: import the brave & resourceful; export greedy socio and psychopaths = win/win...

There is, supposedly, video of these events. Until I see that, I just don't believe it - attacking someone with a sledgehammer would be far slower than a taser...
