I recently took part in a game jam with a friend.

The theme was "From the Dead'. Knowing everyone's going to go for zombies, we went for something different with a phoenix and its cycle of death and rebirth.

Been out of the game for a while so it was a good experience.

Google has become seriously unusable. I try to search up something I don't know and it shows me 10 thousand ads or some AI crap. It has happened quite a few times already so I have developed a habit of looking directly up on Wikipedia instead. I feel it is the only good website nowadays.

This is my very first game that I made in Unity. A mosquito collecting blood and dodging poisonous gas! The idea actually came from thinking of a character where drag and drop touch controls would make sense.

This is my game! I first had the idea of having a mouse cursor in a 2D platformer. I explored unique options that only mouse could provide. Precision was one so I asked myself what kind of mechanic would benefit from it. And ... here we are now.

One of the most fun parts of being a developer is when you look at your old code, can't understand any of it and think to yourself "how did I come up with this." It is always an interesting mix of ingenuity and stupidity.

One lesson I've learned in music that you can also apply to game design. Repetition legitimizes. Found a fun gameplay idea? Repeat it several times in your game. I tend to always come up with something new when it is more fun to just repeat the simpler idea again and again.
