And suddenly no that last post is now wrong, they could cancel and partial refund my digital subscription and I now have a new paper subscription for 2000ad starting next week. So it all ends well after all and I get to look forward to a weekly dose of paper thrillpower!

I contacted 2000ad about my digital sub (which was renewed 3 months ago) asking if it could be transferred to a paper sub with the difference paid but they said no. I could cancel the digital sub with no refund and start a paper sub if I wanted but that seems wasteful so I will have to wait.

Thanks Iain, sometimes you need someone to say positive stuff and I appreciate it. We should attempt a meet up at some point if you are heading to Edinburgh sometime and I'm free to jump on a train. Maybe not during the festival though as I'm terrible in big crowds.

I'm confused as to why this has even happened?

It's been fantastic.

Wanted to be brave today and jump on a bus to Glasgow for a show but I just can't. Too many neurosis making it seem impossible and also billy no mates means I have no distractions to help bungle through doing it. So I'm trying to stay busy at home while feeling pissed off at myself.

The first episode is so good and mysterious, it could literally go anywhere. The Doctor is so creepy too.

Must be a real annoyance to the Beeb that they can’t even show the first story.

My afternoon Dr Who with my daughter sees us going right back to the beginning which frustratingly the iPlayer doesn’t have so I’ve gone and dug out the DVD. We’ve watched 3rd to 8th having skipped 1&2 as she couldn’t comprehend when she was younger that black and white might actually still be good.

I have done the rebuy thing and have thought about trying to collect two versions of the same run of comics as sometimes you end up with multiple issues that you then have to move on. I think the act of collecting can be stronger than anything. How many versions of Akira do I actually need?

I halved my collection at least about five years ago and all that has happened is that it grew some space for me to concentrate on collecting more.

I had the Marvel one for a while and constantly got frustrated by it.
