After we were seated, my wife suggested it might be nice if we paid for their lunch. Moments later, the owner of the Diner came over and told us the couple had paid for our lunch. Wherever you are, thank you for making our day.

As my wife & I were pulling into Wethersfield Diner for lunch this noon, a Hispanic couple parked next to us. Noticing my wife was having trouble locking the car door, the husband offered to help her.They then held the doors to the diner open as we walked in; they could see we were a bit wobbly.

I say Trump doesn't care what the Constitution says. On Jan. 20th he will set the evil Stephen Miller loose to wreak havoc on lives of immigrants in America--much worse than the events of his first term; the Constitution will not get in Miller's way. Miller is a white supremacist immigrant-hater.

Trump says he'll end birthright citizenship on Jan. 20th w/Executive Order. Some say he can't do this; birthright citizenship is guaranteed by the 14th Amendment. A change to Constitution or Amendments must pass 2/3 of both houses of Congress, then be ratified by legislatures of 3/4 of states.

I have been off the corner for the past few days due to breathing problems that are exacerbated by the extreme cold and wind. I will continue my vigil until I am physically or mentally unable to go on.

I love to read biographies written by trained historians such as Douglas Brinkley, John Meacham, Ron Chernow & the late David McCullough, stories that have been brought to life by extensive, in-depth research. They.breath life and truth into American history. These historians are Woke.

I just can't fathom how anyone who is struggling financially can think that Donald Trump or Elon Musk is going to make their lives better. It doesn't compute for me.

I don't think it's all that hard for me to do what I'm doing. I don't have financial problems. A lot of you are living paycheck to paycheck and it doesn't seem to be getting better.

I sometimes think that I have too much access to the world.

My mind is inundated with the "bad" that seems to be all around me. I sometimes wish I could tune it out, but I can't. It's not who I am.

I think that most Americans have "normalized" the events of January 6, 2021; I am terrified.

What the world desperately needs now is more Jimmy Carters, more Fred Rogers, more John Lewises; they made this world a better place.

My lifetime has spanned the presidency of 15 men (no women yet); Jimmy Carter is the one who most closely represents the values to which I aspire. He has made me proud to be an American.
