I find it really funny when people are intentionally cruel in the dark but sweet on the outside slowly recognize the harmful ways they've hurt people lasts much much longer, and people slowly just do not fuck with you.

ive fought this a lot, too - I still try too hard to please everyone, but a nonzero amount of criticism is envy and sabotage. A rising tide floats all boats, especially when you elevate what's possible.

the world is going to be craving humanity in art more and more, I think we'll celebrate diversity in personality more too. Even if the advice used to be that being consistent in your identity was key -- be undeniably human instead
