And for clarity, I 100 per cent agree those traffic calming measures are better, and speed cameras are a cheap way to address failings.

Interesting, since I've seen people also whine relentlessly about traffic calming measures. There was and is opposition to some roundabouts in Niagara. Same with speed bumps and those flexible signs. I have a suspicion that in reality, people just want to be able to speed but don't want to admit it

Some arrived out of a sense of duty, and some out of a sense of adventure.
I don't get to do a ton of Remembrance Day type stories anymore, but here's one from earlier this year I got to do on a documentary highlighting the Farmerette program

Glad to see Canada is also distancing itself from this. I'd prefer a clean break from all the shady shit the American administration is doing, but accept there are other factors at play. #CDNpoli

TheοΏ½ A large red and white Great Lakes freighter named "Edmund Fitzgerald" sails on calm blue water under an overcast sky. The ship has a white superstructure with multiple windows, a tall mast with flags including a Canadian flag, and black smoke rising from its yellow-and-black smokestack at the stern. Green forested shoreline is visible in the background.
50 years ago today, Nov. 10, 1975, the Edmund Fitzgerald sank beneath the waves of Lake Superior during a massive storm.
The sinking took the lives of all 29 men on the ship, and became immortalized in Gordon Lightfoot's song.
This is the story of this terrible tragedy.

I've no ill will against ppl who make a great contribution and become super wealthy.
