So true. Voting is mass transit, not a cab. It is almost never going to take you exactly where you want, when you want. Instead, you have to jump on the one going in the direction you want to go. If you wait for one going exactly where you want, you are never getting there.

An officer is not under contract like enlisted are and can resign their commission. Technically, it needs to be accepted but it is an option.
