There is no drawdown. There is no retreat. ICE is just redistributing their assets to better avoid accountability.

ICE kidnapped a neighbor in Phillips today along with others in MN. They are still the same rogue, abhorrent, & illegitimate organization meant to terrorize & separate families.

As I said yesterday, I am still asking the community to remain cautious & vigilant. We still need help.

An interesting bit in Border Czar Homan's news conference today is he touted more than 200 arrests under USC 111 (assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers). That figure would include this 76-year-old who was pepper sprayed in the face for yelling at an agent

Fear of ICE is keeping pregnant immigrants in Minnesota from critical care Health care providers in Minnesota said pregnant patients are having more complications linked to stress. But fear of immigration agents is keeping them from prenatal care.

Citing fear of ICE, pregnant immigrants in Minnesota are

-skipping prenatal care
-requesting home births, even when not medically advised
-going w/o adequate food

Many are experiencing complications providers say can be stress-onset: diabetes, high blood pressure, and even water breaking early

The arrests of Don Lemon, Georgia Fort, and Jamael Lundy are unacceptable and a clear violation of the Constitution.

This is a dangerous abuse of power that threatens the rights of every single American.

They must be released immediately.

It’s very odd that we entrust the clearing of public sidewalks (which are part of our transportation network) to private property owners & businesses.

We get results like this business that cleared only their walkways & left the rest of the sidewalk covered in snow.

I work at a food bank—think of it like Costco. We get massive amounts of food for cheap. Whole truckloads of apples, bags of cereal, things like that. Unless you’re General Mills (thank you for your service) we don’t need your food donations. But we have a lot of buying power, so we will take your money. You buying one can of beans for a dollar doesn’t make sense when we can buy a pallet for cents a can. We provide food to food shelves—the term food shelves or pantry comes from churches who would have a small little area for parishioners to pick up food. It’s a much more advanced model now, as there are many stories of food shelves that started in church basements that now resemble grocery stores. They do their own sourcing (like picking up excess from grocery stores) and get food from food banks. They will also take your money! But each one is different—they might have room for donations. Check social media. Needs change constantly. There are lists that go around that are like “every food bank needs xyz” & that is not true. Again, they’ll get a better deal on bulk food so money is always a move! The loss of SNAP benefits is going to drive more and more folks to use their pantries and food shelves. We refer to this as the “emergency food system” but, uhhh, we are living in emergency times all the time! These systems are stressed & will be even more so. There is enough food in this country to go around. The cost is getting food where it’s needed & right now it just isn’t.

In general, true. In this case, I think it was just an update from them having been shot/wounded to confirming that Hortman and her husband are now dead.

Yup - he’s saying the DPS is recommending this… because they won’t have the numbers to “protect” the protesters… 😒

It should not be lost on anyone that Minnesota Rep Melissa Hortman, who was shot to death in her home last night by an assassin, was a gun safety advocate who worked tirelessly to protect her constituents from gun violence.
