@johnswinney.bsky.social said the first centre would be open by the end of year - I assume he means calendar year so I was assuming by December 2025. However, he said the intial target is a pilot scheme with 15 centres in all.

It's sad to hear this. Only about 1/3 of the issues affecting Scotland are devolved to ScotParl - the other 2/3rds are reserved. So, until the day when Scotland becomes independent we absolutely need committed MPs at Westminster.

Just seen the new Downton Abbey film. Beautifully made and superbly acted. Julian Fellowes is brilliant writer. But I was struck how distinctively English it is with several references to Englishness (even though most of it is set in Yorkshire which is v different from the SE England).
