Been a little slow on my end in regards to doing my pottery thing… getting back to it… feels good

My family decided they wanted to try their hand at #DnD so they are doing their first campaign! Two sessions in and they’re loving it. (They’re doing a great job too!) Last sesh I unveiled their world map, I made a giant 36x48 dry erase map of the city this will primarily partake in… meet Ragella!

I got to pet and give snacks to the most adorable Aussiedoodle puppy named Moose this morning during my coffee run. How’s your morning going cause mine was prettttttyyyyy good

So many mixed emotions towards past Daniel.

On one hand, he acquired 3rd row seats to Jeff Arcuri tonight. Hell yea.

On the other, I have to schlepp myself into the city at 9:30 at night instead of just melting into a puddle as I do every night.

Going to be a blast I’m sure, but at what cost

Tonight is DnD and I’m getting ancy and thinking about it if you can’t tell

Has blown up in my party’s face a few times, leading to some fun/hilarity, but 95% of the time it’s me failing and them getting to do something awesome.

Consequence for rolling those pesky 1s and makes the battle feel a little more free flowing and natural and reactive too which is also fun.

#dnd #homebrew that I started doing randomly for fun & now is a staple in our sessions:

When attacking & roll a Nat 1 the target may choose to use their reaction to attempt a retaliatory strike/grapple due to critical failure.

Has led to so many amazing moments, the party has a blast with it.

Just playing around in the pottery studio. Second attempt at hand building, doing a little sculptural vase.

@heroforgeminis.bsky.social why did you have to go and do a 50% digital sale this month? Can’t not keep coming back for more… moorrreee. My “preparing for the upcoming sessions” lately has simply turned into me just making 200 minis. I can’t stop and I am now woefully underprepared for this weekend.

Oh it totally is! Really is awesome to have my group of friends be fully invested and having such a great time with the campaign, quite fulfilling to be bringing them along for a good ride. 7hr days are exhausting for sure but at the same time, yearning for mooorree 😅 definitely have a problem haha

My Friday and Saturday has been 14 hours of DnD … do I have a problem? DMing that much is totally exhausting but is still so much fun, and the party is having a blast. Love it.
