It is what it is, I just need to pour out these feelings out from my brainflesh and move on from people this ridiculous and cruel that do not deserve to take up any space in my thoughts.

It is stupid and ridiculous but equally, the idea they can act like this towards people in their own friendship circles and communities over something so trivial and self-centered has genuinely knocked my faith in humanity. That you can be this close and this united and still act like this... wild.

That they went out of their way to lay TNT traps to attempt to kill fellow players in public spaces on the server, burned down the spawn house and such, over indignant rage over the idea that... they should treat people like people?

Over a fucking game rule in a fucking Minecraft server, over a preference they had and wanted to force on others, while claiming we were refusing to take feedback, when we have (and continue to do) so much to adjust and improve stuff for everyone playing. It's, mind-boggling.

It's so fucking exhausting and sours what should be an incredibly simple exercise of "running a game server for my friends + social group" into a fucking albatross weighing on me all fucking week.

Coming off a level of illness that had me bed-bound and unable to eat, straight into completely pointless drama where people you'd consider friendly (or even friends) harass, degrade you and your partner, and actively attempt to destroy the project you're both pouring your time and energy into >

If the goal was to delay the game past March, they would not have re-confirmed launching this financial year less than a week before.

I mean, yes. But less than a week ago it was confirmed Marathon is still coming out this financial year, I would have assumed 2 + 2 is not too hard to put together for journalists but given Polygon was gutted of those I guess not :P

Also it's still due out by March 2026 per previous reporting so Idunno why "indefinitely" is the word being used

They are fleshing out a bunch of the content since the primary complaint from the alpha was "good but need more variety", working on getting stuff people thought was missing and was planned for post-launch ready for launch instead, and solving the art issues.

I shoved Bazzite on my PC a few weeks ago, mainlining that with a small W11 install for D2 and other incompatibles to fall back on. So far so good!

There's other immutable options and immutable OS might not be what you're looking for, but Bazzite works for me til SteamOS is more desktop mature :)
