#sotd is a nice wet red rose straight from the garden. La Fille De Berlin by Serge Lutens has convinced me rose isn’t so bad. It feels vintage & it’s definitely on the list to buy. I think it’s hitting because it didn’t have that traditional powder pot-pouri pairing that makes me think of old ladies

Full day started of vacation & I wanted something fruity for the humidity. #sotd is Pink Boa and I’ll have to test alongside Venom Incarnat but both have strong raspberry vibes. Can’t remember VI enough but I think I might favor it. This is a cocktail scent for sure, perfect for a chill vacation.

I didn't do the stairs as my hip was protesting, but damn this is such a nice, easy way to get outside. And so much parking! I totally missed out on Arsicault, ugh.

Get outside! October 12th & November 11th are the next open days.

Hike #42 was a stroll in SF at Crissy Field on my way home from an appt. Another on the commute for years & never bothered to stop. Kind of nice to try to wait out traffic a bit. Dog friendly beach is a plus! Not your regular friendly hike, but all good. Took some group photos for tourists 😂

Bay trail

It was such a nice day so I took a walking meeting on the bay trail. Pros: so nice out! Cons: 0 doggies & 4 interruptions due to my hair (I didn’t bother with a hat since it was pretty overcast). Maybe the hair thing is a neutral, people in the meeting understood.

#sotd is Angels’ Share By Killian. Damn, I love the sweetness & boozy of this. The price makes me pause, I seem to mentally have a $250ish mental threshold for all the scents I want. Maybe when I’ve plowed through those buys I’ll start chipping away at these more expensive scents.

$deity bless the person who marked all the benches in Helen Putnam Regional Park. Listed as only a 328ft gain for the 2mile loop (I recorded 416) it was in 2 steeper chunks. Hike #41 was listed as “easy” & everyone else on trail thought so. LOTS of dogs & people out in the am before it gets too hot.

On #caturday we watch cat tv. Only Tandy is entertained by screens, she started out loving motorcycle racing but also like chill animal videos.

#sotd is Lovesick Witchery Harlot. This was in my initial no pile & I still don’t think I’ll purchase it. I am liking the brown sugar baked good scent today. It’s warm & I do get peach crumble but the vanilla overpowers the peach. I’ll use the sample up and decide later I guess. #perfumesky

Yogurt parfait

When the cafe trusts you to bring back their glassware when the chef forgot you always do takeaway. I’ll even run it through the dishwasher!

I saw a few coveys too! And some elk butt... oh and an elk charging from the side of the path directly past me (I think they were playing "who can get closest to the human"). I love Pt Reyes.

I live around SF, and got really shocked when I took NSFW off of my feed. In my many years hiking out here, I have yet (thankfully) to encounter a "bear" in the wild without pants. Now, just walking down city streets, that's a whole other story...

Laguna Trail

Coastal Trail

Hike #40 wasn’t very pretty until you started to catch glimpses of the ocean. Laguna Trail in Pt Reyes leads to some nice looking campgrounds & the Coastal Trail is pretty & chill (which is good since my hip started yelling at 25% complete). Got an early start & at 9:30 it had already gotten to 73!

kpop demon hunters

Watched Kpop Demon Hunters, not expecting to like it at all (I don't like musicals much, though love anime). It was cute... and the god damn earworms. Golden: yeah okay, I get it now. *sigh*

Warrior Apothecary Clove Cigarette

#sotd was a blind buy that has grown on me. Does Clove Cigarette by Warrior Apothecary smell like Djarum? Yes but not as expected. I was hoping to walk through a cloud of goths smoking, but it’s missing the smoke. It does smell like a newly unwrapped package. Not mad, just a different wavelength.

I love it! Living your life how you want to is key! It's just weird someone has to put you in a "42" "47" "35" box as it means something. Like, we're all different yo with different experiences. Our confidence in ourselves shouldn't be based on a pre-biased numeric thing.

Aw thanks! I don't care if people see me as 70 or 40 or whatever. I haven't figured out why it means so much to people. I just want to be healthy and have fun dressing for myself! Maybe because I've decentered from external validation. The best benefit of aging! (and I love sunscreen, haha)
