Fair point, when I asked Richard a few weeks ago what the plan was, I was thinking ’48-’62 and ’63-’69. But got to accept when he says the numbers aren’t there, so I did ’48-’62 while I was off sick a couple of weeks ago ☺️

Just to back up the boss, as well as being before most of us were born, pre-Beatles is mainly for the jazz fans so would attract a lot fewer participants. Better to do it this way and let those folk have a chance to vote for their favourites rather than just start with 1963-69.

Was wondering what you’re doing with the 60s? 60-64 & 65-69? Or including 50s jazz again?

Who’da guessed?! Already finished mine, assuming ‘Debut’ is classed as Björk’s debut solo album, rather than the one she did when she was 11?

It just missed out on my top 5 so I’m biased!

Also, as a 60yo who listened to ~400Albums25, it’d be interesting to know how different it would look with more young ‘uns voting, given how poorly a few of the indie rock ones I liked did (Red Rum Club, The Royston Club, The K’s, The Sherlocks)…

There’s a cohort of voters that don’t really explore much new stuff unless it’s by acts they already like, so I reckon you’re more likely to get votes if you’re Suede/Pulp than if you’re Geese. Which means Getting Killed winning is as close to a consensus as you can get that it’s very good. 😊
