My last WIP I had to fix a lot when I omitted the word 'thunder' and 'lightning' from the culture's lexicon…only to find myself overusing 'he thundered' or 'the thundering sound' in the initial draft.

Whoops.

Good luck. I'm still stumbling with this new culture and the various words I've taken for granted.

(These guys don't have the concept of metal, which makes describing shackles difficult)

This last week we had to do a thing that hovered over us for months, draining our energy and headspace for all that time.

It is coming to a conclusion, after being delayed and pushed back time and time again.

Things might go well for us, but damn am I tired.

That said, it got me writing a book...

Oh my lord, I did an adult thing and did NOT push it off to the last possible moment.

Oh, I KNOW! I'll make an alien species with no concept of math…then force myself to adjust my way of speaking to omit any number based language. Double the fun.

oh wait, I think that disqualifies the word 'double'.

Okay, maaaaaaaybe I say this because I'm a huge wuss with anxiety, but I was legitimately spooked out by the OG Luigi's Mansion at times.
(And yes, we do play the music for halloween in our household).

Ok, had to tackle life and am exhausted.

THAT SAID, I managed to squeeze 350 words out for something new.

Sale of my short story collections is still going strong. Rage from a Cage was released just this year, and features imho some of my best works!

The other two, All Through the House and Soft Reboot are pretty fun as well!

My very first shiny, I was in this cave where I was escorting this guy, so all fights were double battles and there was NO WAY the guy was gonna let that green Golbat live.

I had to knock his Pokemon out before he got the chance.

Caught me that Golbat.
