It has become very clear to the rest of the world that the U.S. cannot be relied upon for anything. Shame on us for relying on the U.S. for decades, the free/democratic countries of the world need to work together to protect each other without relying on the U.S. (or any country for that matter).

If there's one thing that is clear under the Trump regime, it's that nothing (laws, EOs, even SCOTUS precedent) that is "final", it will be gratifying to see all the regime's illegal and immoral actions reversed by the next Congress and President. Even more gratifying to see these criminals in jail.

In the future, there may be unintended consequences to the trump regime political persecutions... going forward why wouldn't everyone testifying to congress not plead the 5th to every single question. "It could well be the low point..."? That implies some doubt, there is no question the U.S. is at the absolute low point of public diplomacy (it's not even close). The only question is how many future low points from the Trump regime will make the current situation seem a relative high point.
