the comedy hits much better in the book… also like the gender and neurodivergence stuff is bad in the show. like the use of it/its pronouns in the book is less an act of violence than all that. i wish the show was like absurdist post-modern weird shit or something

watched an episode of the murderbot show and i feel like they took out all the nuance and flavor out of it (as i expected lmfao). like the book is so good at capturing a casual monotone from murderbot and the show is like. so damn on the nose about everything. sigh whatever
