That's a terrible idea, and here's why. The whole process is called retargeting, and if the vendors don't realize you already bought it, then they just keep showing you the same thing, then your brain can ignore it. If they show you something different, then you might be tempted to spend more $$.

According to the CDC, poorer states (i.e. red states) have a much higher rate of cancer per 100k people than richer (i.e. blue states) have. Republicans vote pro-tobacco 73% of the time. The sheer stupidity of the Right is the constant policies that hurt their own voters. 1/2
